there was a particular bay with perfect clear water, white sand, and calm waves...I was able to just hang out under water with my nose right where the waves would crest and watch them curl over right before my eyes- from the inside!!!...It was so wonderful! that is one of my favorite memories
I love this and is cheering me up in my graphics lesson (:
I love the colours and the crispness of the image.
The breaking wave seems to have the texture of gelatin (especially at frame right), and the transition to that completely clear sky is a great natural gradient. I think it is unfortunate that it is missing the type of surface reflection that shows the texture of the shallows like in indian ocean abstraction. Without that, I think this shot would have been better off with the transition from wave to sky a little lower in the frame.
